Fees, Insurance Accepted & My Approach

So what can you expect from working with me? I pride myself on being a life-long learner and how that impacts the clinical relationship is that I am open to shift where new research supports the work that I am doing with clients. Therefore Knowledge is one of my building blocks.

I have been an integral part in providing for the mental health needs of our community in Orange, County, New York for decades where I first started out owning a home-based day care before moving into the field of social work. I also was on the Orange County Crisis Team for 11 years and provided crisis counseling to school communities during times of death and tragedies. My roots run long and deep in this community and so you can expect Professionalism. When I share my story about how I came to be a social worker I sum it up with this, I did not find social work, rather it found me. I absolutely LOVE the work I do and may be one of the few people who actually get excited about learning a new therapeutic approach knowing this will be something to relieve the symptoms of clients. So Passion would be my next building block. I'm the one who cries my eyes out at the ending of the show "Undercover Boss" because my heart is overwhelmed by watching the ability of someone to do good in the lives of others and change their world for good. I see the work that I do every day just like that; having the privilege to work with someone, share the tools that you have been given and watch the positive impact in their lives. That leads me to Compassion.

Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises
